Buried Alive: The Annihilation VR is a brand new VR game that combines the elements of open spaces, wave-based enemies, and easter eggs/puzzles. The game doesn’t put the player in a linear path of progress but rather allows the player to create his own way of survival in a hostile environment. The game also features full physics interactions to increase immersion, this feature is known in big VR titles such as Half-Life: Alyx.
Buried Alive: The Annihilation’s story takes its roots from ancient myths. In the beginning, in hell, Devil knows the people he’s torturing are bad but he doesn’t know what drives them to be bad. He comes down to Earth, picks some test subjects throughout the time. The Devil gives these people their darkest desires only to take everything from them, he casts them into a manipulated world where they’re the sole survivor because he wants to see what would a person do in order to stay alive. Cannibalism, murder, betrayal?
Buried Alive: The Annihilation VR will be released as an early access title on Steam on the 19th of January 2021 with a price tag of 15$. The game will remain in early access for most of 2021. On Buried Alive: The Annihilation’s Steam page, the developer duo stated that they are planning on periodic content updates. And a huge 16km2 open-world map is under development for the time being.
