There are a few key highlights regarding this Manga Reader release:
-
Persona 5 Game Planner Collaboration: Rice Games collaborated with a Japanese developer who is credited as a Game Planner on Persona 5. His name is Matsushita Asuto and focused on the storylines behind a few confidants. Asuto (pen name "Asuma") helped turn director Julian Rice's scenario into an easy to read manga format, and handled art management with artist Yazawa Tatsuaki.
-
Franchise Expansion: Shujinkou is expanding beyond being known as, "that dungeon crawler that teaches Japanese," to a Japanese role-playing game with a deep, sophisticated world and dozens of lovable characters. This one shot manga showcases this, with a heavy emphasis on exploration, combat, and bonding that takes place between the cast of the Genya Arc.
- Completely Free & Updates to Come! This application is 100% free, and is meant to help attract a greater audience to the world of Shujinkou. We are currently planning a full-fledged manga adaptation of the Genya Arc (first half of Shujinkou), which will see updates to this manga reader app as more chapters get completed and published.
- BitSummit 2026: We've printed over 500 copies of the manga in both Japanese and English and are handing it out as a promotion here at BitSummit 2026! Come to our booth at 3F A19!
