Crazy Goat Games announces Path to Tamer Town at Monster Taming Direct – a roguelite prequel from the creators of the monster-taming city builder Tamer Town

Katowice, Poland – September 2, 2025 – During the latest Monster Taming Direct, an event dedicated to monster-taming games, indie studio Crazy Goat Games officially announced their new title: Path to Tamer Town. The game will launch in Early Access on PC (Steam) in Q1 2026, with the full release and console versions planned for Q3 2026.

This announcement comes as a surprise, since Crazy Goat Games is best known for its city-building titles. The studio previously released the horror city builder Worshippers of Cthulhu and is currently working on Tamer Town, a monster tamer with a city-building twist. With Path to Tamer Town, the team is venturing into new territory, delivering a roguelite adventure with procedurally generated routes, cities, and events.

While Tamer Town focuses on building and managing a community of tamers and their creatures, Path to Tamer Town is a dynamic, replayable journey, where players assemble a team of Mokitons, train them, and face the climactic Stadium Showdown.

Up to now, we’ve mainly created city builders, so Path to Tamer Town is a big challenge for us. We’re developing brand-new mechanics and even new Mokitons that will only appear in this game. It’s a lot of work, but also a lot of fun – and a chance to show the world something fresh.

 - says Agata Strużyna, Marketing Manager at Crazy Goat Games.
