Slitherine joins this year’s Wargames Fest with Broken Arrow pre-order and official release date

More sales and surprises on tons of Slitherine games, including Shadow Empire and Headquarters: World War II

Slitherine, a publisher specializing in strategy and wargaming with 25 years of experience, is participating in this year’s Steam Wargames Fest with numerous titles, discounts, and news.
 

Wargamers will be treated with major discounts on classic franchises like Close Combat, Gary Grisby’s War in the East 2, and Order of Battle (up to 80%). More recent titles like Strategic Command, Combat Mission, and Panzer Corps 2 will see major discounts as well.
 

Plenty of news awaits wargamers, including Headquarters: World War II first birthday, with an update that responded to our community's requests:

 
  • Added a Field of View (FOV) setting for the camera to the Game Video settings;
  • Reworked the Free Camera Mode controls and the transition between Regular Camera mode and Free Camera Mod;
  • Now gamers no longer need to hold the Middle Mouse Button (MMB or Mouse Wheel) to stay in Free Camera Mode. Free Camera Mode can be entered by pressing the MMB, and then exit it by either pressing the MMB again, or by scrolling the Mouse wheel.

The franchise will be on sale with discounts up to 25%, and the latest DLC, Ardennes, on sale for the first time.


The recent announcement of the Shadow Empire: Republica DLC has excited the game’s fans, offering them the chance to explore the game’s expanded political system. New layers of complexity and strategic depth will be introduced, along with fresh elements like Virtus—the spirit and will of society. To learn more click here.
To celebrate the announcement, the game will be part of the Wargames Fest with an exciting 25% off the Complete Bundle, instead of the usual 10%.


Another franchise, more celebratory discounts: a new DLC for the Strategic Command WWII franchise, War in the Pacific - Rise and Fall of an Empire was recently announced. Wargamers will dive into Japan’s aggressive journey through World War II in a six-mission campaign, experiencing key historical moments and a “What If” scenario, Operation Downfall. Discounts on the franchise go up to 60%.
 

Last, but not least, exciting news for Broken Arrow fans, as during the Wargames Fest a big announcement was made: Broken Arrow, a large-scale real-time modern warfare tactic and currently in the top 30 of the most wishlisted games on Steam, has opened Pre-orders for the Vanguard Edition. Pre-orders grants players exclusive items only available with this edition, such as exclusive digital wallpapers, alternative vehicle skins, and the original soundtrack, but the most exciting thing is a 72-hour early unlock. That gives access to the game on 16th June, as Broken Arrow will be officially released on June, 19th.
