LOS ANGELES (July 31, 2025) – During today’s Nintendo Switch™ 2 global showcase, SQUARE ENIX announced a Nintendo Switch 2 version of last year’s critically acclaimed RPG Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven and revealed new trailers for upcoming games FINAL FANTASY TACTICS – The Ivalice Chronicles and DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake. In addition to Nintendo Switch 2, all three games will also be available for multiple platforms.

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
A Nintendo Switch 2 version of Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven, the full 3D remake of the hit 1993 RPG that received critical acclaim upon its initial release last year, is now available for purchase. DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake
The new trailer for DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake, which released exclusively in the Nintendo Direct in Japan, revealed exciting new details about the games, including the addition of Princess of Cannock as a playable character in DRAGON QUEST II. The Princess of Cannock is the sister of the Prince of Cannock, one of the other playable party members, and brings her feisty and brave-hearted spirit to the world-spanning adventure. She was a featured character in the original version of DRAGON QUEST II, but this remake is the first time she is a playable party member.

DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake combines full remakes of DRAGON QUEST I and DRAGON QUEST II, which chronologically take place after DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake, which launched in November 2024. Players can experience the dramatic and satisfying conclusion to the “Erdrick Trilogy” in these two timeless adventures, brought to new life in the beloved HD-2D graphical style with never-before-seen story content and gameplay updates. In addition to beautiful HD-2D graphics, a refined battle system, numerous quality-of-life updates and major story additions, both remakes will feature a variety of new content.
The digital-only DRAGON QUEST HD-2D Erdrick Trilogy Collection, which combines DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake and DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake, will also launch for the same platforms on Oct. 30.
