Oxford, June 12, 2025 - Rebellion, one of the world's most successful independent video game developers and publishers, has today launched Zombie Army VR allowing players to step into the shoes of a Deadhunter as they fight to free Europe from the undead Nazi hordes. With brutal combat, thrilling gunplay and an immersive story lead campaign all bought to stunning life in virtual reality, Zombie Army VR looks set to be a hit with fans on PlayStation® VR2, Meta Quest 2, 3, 3S and Pro, Oculus Rift, and PC headsets via Steam.

To celebrate the launch, Rebellion has released a new trailer for the game, which is viewable here: https://youtu.be/Ghv_WBpjx8Y

The latest game in the much-loved franchise, Zombie Army VR is set before the events of Zombie Army 4. With the full campaign playable in single player and in online co-op, you return to the field as one of the Deadhunters, an elite squad that is hunting down zombie war criminals. You have been summoned by Hermann Wolff, the Deadhunter’s legendary leader, to help him find his family. This will require you to fight your way through undead hordes near the bombed-out city of Nuremberg.

VR heightens the thrill and immersion of the nail-biting action as you use both hands to aim down the sights of your rifle and line up that perfect shot at range. When things get up close and personal, you can use your gun to bludgeon the undead or scour the environment for items to use as melee weapons. You will also need to master reloading drills as the undead masses bear down on you from all sides. Overcoming your nerves and operating under pressure will be crucial if you are to succeed.

To help send the undead scourge back into the abyss, you will have access to an arsenal of authentic World War II weaponry including sniper rifles, submachine guns, pistols, and more. You can also use Weapon Upgrade kits to modify the damage, accuracy, and ammo capacity of your weapons.

Game Features:

  • New high thrills campaign
  • Slay alone or take the fight online and join a friend for 2 player co-op
  • Authentic World War II weaponry and impactful melee combat
  • Relive devastating long-range shots with the signature X-ray Kill Cam
