Paris Game Biz 2025: back-to-school for gaming professionals

Studios get their applications ready with the Publishers Guidelines

Paris, August 28, 2025 – On October 28 and 29, the videogame industry will gather at Paris Game Biz, an event created by the Paris-based cluster Capital Games, that is reinventing the way studios and investors meet.

For this second edition, which will be held at Studio Harcourt (Paris, France), 70 French and international studios are expected to connect with 35 buyers during 700 meetings. Designed to develop business opportunities, Paris Game Biz is based on a selective matching process that pairs studios with buyers according to their needs. To encourage such synergies, the Publishers Guidelines guide is now available!

Following the key Gamescom 2025 event, the video game market continues to evolve in a contrasting environment where investment and project development are key issues for professionals.  To address these strategic challenges, Paris Game Biz is renewing its approach to B2B meetings and supporting players in the ecosystem.

Capital Games is launching its new business event. In an uncertain climate, including for video game events, we have chosen to rise to the challenge, convinced of the importance of offering studios the opportunity to pitch their ambitious projects to the major players in the industry. In a saturated market, every opportunity to showcase one's creations has become essential. Paris Game Biz stands out for its selective nature, which is a guarantee of quality. And what could be more natural than Paris, a global city of culture and innovation, to host this new international industry event?" explains Hélène Delay, General manager of Capital Games, the association organizing Paris Game Biz.

This initiative is based on several pillars:

  • A careful selection of buyers (publishers and investors) from among international video game players,

  • Publishers’ editorial guidelines shared with studios in advance to ensure a better understanding of their needs: the Publishers Guidelines,

  • Participating studios selected on the basis of a jury of 20 experts and editorial guidelines.

This positioning enabled the first edition of Paris Game Biz to achieve critical success: 96% of participants in 2024 recommend the event, and more than 40% of participating studios have signed or are still in discussions with publishers and investors they met there.

The Publishers Guidelines: optimizing meetings with publishers at #PGB25

Ahead of each edition, Paris Game Biz offers studios an important resource: the Publishers Guidelines.

Designed for any type of studio wishing to apply to Paris Game Biz 2025 or to understand precisely the needs of publishers and business trends for the coming months, this tool brings together key information about publishers participating in the 2025 edition.

The goal? To enable studios of all sizes to obtain valuable information on the types of games sought: genres, schedule, budget, and details by publisher.

Nearly 30 companies with complementary activities participated in this new edition, including 11 Bit Studios, Arte, Devolver, Focus Entertainment, Kepler, Plug in Digital, Sony Interactive Entertainment, and Shiro Games.

In preparation for their participation in Paris Game Biz 2025, studios that purchase the Publishers Guidelines will be able to refine their pitch!

The 2025 Publishers Guidelines are available via the registration/application form at a cost of €50: https://shorturl.at/CJqVf
