2 September 2025 – Deseret Games Studio invites players back to the continent of Ianua with a brand-new demo for Aegis Force: The Scorian War, now live on PC via Steam. This new demo includes around 90 minutes of gameplay from the first chapter of the game, along with a newly updated version of the prologue and explorable portions of the city of Vigherad—both of which will be added in an upcoming patch. Inspired by genre-defining classics like Final Fantasy Tactics and Shining Force II, Aegis Force combines turn-based tactical battles with a rich and morally complex narrative. Whether you’re leading your force across the continent, exploring unique locations, or fighting in tactical turn-based battles, there’s always a new choice to make, a new threat to face, and a new mystery to uncover.

The newly expanded demo gives players their first chance to experience a portion of Chapter 1 from Aegis Force: The Scorian War. Players will be introduced to the forest region of Ruiner’s Pass, where the playable characters are sent to uncover the mysterious disappearance of several supply wagons and the happenings surrounding it. In the new area, players will:

  • Explore the vast forest region of Ruiner’s Pass, filled with secrets and hidden dangers.
  • Engage in multiple tactical, grid-based battles that test your strategy.
  • Uncover the mystery of Ruiner’s Pass through story-driven dialogue cutscenes.
  • Discover valuable items and resources to aid you on your journey.

Along the way, players will meet new party members, encounter dangerous enemies, and uncover the deeper forces threatening to ignite a full-scale war across Ianua.

Deseret Games Studio plans to patch in expansions to the demo over the coming weeks, including the farming village of Lendene and the Genuan capital city of Vigherad.

This full demo update will also include a revamped version of the prologue, featuring new content, visual enhancements, improved controls, and refined mechanics - all shaped by feedback from the game’s ever-growing community.

Speaking about the expanded demo, Deseret Games founder Christian Smith shared his excitement for what’s ahead: “Aegis Force has been a complete passion project for our entire team, and we have been overwhelmed by the amount of positive feedback and shared excitement for what we have shown of the game so far. We are very pleased to give players a chance to experience more of this world, as we have been listening to their feedback as well as adding more of what we think makes this game unique and engaging.”
