Mexican studio Covert Wonders celebrates its feature on the Game Devs of Color Expo Steam event page, invites players to try the free demo and wishlist
Mexico – September 18, 2025 – Covert Wonders, an independent studio based in Mexico, announced that Eldritch Climb, A Cursed Ascent is featured on the Game Devs of Color Expo Steam event page. The free demo is available now on Steam, players can download it today, share feedback, and add the game to their wishlist.
A cursed ascent, a living mountain
Eldritch Climb is a climbing roguelike that blends cosmic dread with absurd charm. Players launch, swing, and cling across a living, ever shifting mountain haunted by cultists and uncanny creatures. Progress is shaped by Eyes, a mysterious currency that twists perception and difficulty. As players gather Eyes, levels, enemies, and mechanics branch into three variations, raising tension while opening fresh routes and surprises. Between climbs, explorers loot fallen bodies or visit a shop to equip items in each hand, every loadout is a strategic risk.

“In this game, a professor is shipwrecked and stranded on an island. A menacing mountain appears to be his only way out, so he must venture inside, a place that embodies many horrors. But our protagonist is cursed.
