This beta introduces 7 new playable characters, leading players into an expanded main storyline with deeper narrative layers. Comprehensive upgrades to environments, visuals, and UI, paired with new gameplay mechanics and weapons, deliver a more exhilarating and immersive combat experience. Seven Playable Characters Join the Roster in Children from the Snowfield
Following the main storyline in Icelake, players journey with the protagonist to Galea Theatre, where stories in Children from the Snowfield (the second episode of Chapter of Noctoyager) officially begins. With new playable characters in the spotlight, a chilling mystery beckons players to reveal the secrets beneath.
What is the source of the eerie, raspy singing that haunts the city? What secrets lie behind the fearsome Charon Hunt that has thrown the town into panic? Are the new faces allies or foes? With immersive cutscenes and thrilling battle sequences, the narrative experience reaches new heights of tension and engagement.
Fresh Challenges Await: Discover Richer Gameplay and Exciting New Modes
This CBT introduces and refines various gameplay modes, expanding both game content and exploration depth. Enter the all-new Immersive Theatre, where players can take on increasingly difficult stages by combining strategic team compositions with diverse combat mechanics. Also, three new casual modes have been added: players can roam the map to search for the Advensphere, delve deeper into the hidden realms of the Avian Spirit Trials, or freely capture a wide variety of uniquely shaped Paniemon. These gameplay modes not only deepen the world-building but also offer diverse and immersive experiences.
Combat Revamped: Thrilling Upgrades and More Rewards Unlocked
Beyond the thrilling challenges brought by new gameplay, this test significantly increases spawn rate and density of on-screen enemies, while combat impact and control responsiveness have been enhanced to deliver stronger visual intensity and battle excitement. Additionally, over 10 new weapons have been added to expand tactical depth, like Embla Inflorescence, that locks onto targets for precise and vital kills, and Guixu Ratchet, unleashing a giant spinning blade that sweeps across the battlefield, delivering an overwhelming and exhilarating sense of power.
In addition to improvements in combat, visuals, and gameplay systems, this CBT further optimizes monetization mechanics with generous benefits. Starter Chrono (new player pool) now allows players to select a specific 5-star character, while Event Character Chronos (limited-time banner) guarantees the event-exclusive 5-star character on the first pity with a 100% drop rate. Additionally, three exquisite costumes have been released for free trial during this CBT, providing players with a richer and more personalized gaming experience.
