Celestial Empire Playtests Are Now Live!

A land to govern, a legacy to shape – Celestial Empire enters playtesting!

Join the playtest and step into the shoes of the Great Governor, immersing yourself in the culture, architecture, and natural beauties of ancient China.

President Studio is excited to invite you to an open round of playtest for Celestial Empire, Ancient China-themed city builder! This is your chance to experience how much the game has evolved – and help us make it even better.

The playtest begins today (5th August), and will continue until we’ve gathered all the feedback and data we need to improve the current version.

Participation is completely free and open to everyone – no player limit! Simply visit Celestial Empire’s Steam page and click “Request Access” to join. That’s all it takes. Once the playtest goes live, the game will be ready for you to explore!

The time has come, the Emperor has tasked you with an important mission. Live up to his expectations and create a city that is destined to become the home of China’s Great Hero! Embrace duties as a new provincial governor; plan out, design and manage a city so great that the heavens themselves have to take notice! Let the beauty of the land stunning nature win you over as you weave the marvels of architecture into it. But don’t forget, the journey to greatness is rife with perils. Disasters lurk on every corner, from fires, sickness and rough winters to heavy hands of heavenly judgments.

No matter if you decide to prioritise beauty or efficiency, immerse yourself into the breathtaking world of Ancient China, its traditions, culture and beliefs, all enhanced by captivating elements of fantasy. 

  • Unique Agriculture System – Take advantage of the game’s unique irrigation mechanics and use the water pump system to ensure sufficient watering to the fields of varied crops that will keep the citizens of your city fed and happy.

  • Progress, Advance, Grow – The greatness is built stone by stone and brick by brick, one new building at a time. Research new technologies, advancing through multiple tiers that offer new opportunities.   • Developed Production Chains – Take the challenge of creating efficient production chains that provide for your city. Take care of transport, storage and processing of over 60 raw materials that can be turned into luxurious goods by the hands of talented craftsmen.

  • Power of Choice – With power comes great responsibility. Your citizens are under your care and have a wide range of needs that have to be fulfilled to make them happy. Every decision you make has a visible impact on the city, so choose carefully.

  • Between Divine Island And Yaoguai – The gods are watching. Cultivate religious traditions among the citizens and spend accumulated faith points on godly blessings and miracles. The Divine Island is home to the celestial beings that wish to aid you in your journey and protect you from nefarious yaoguai, vile demons who prey on the citizens of your city.

  • Silk Road Trade – Establish trade routes and join the lucrative world of commerce. Send out caravans, buy what you need and sell the surplus via the famous Silk Road.
