LONDON, UK, July 3, 2020 – When the clock strikes midnight, evil is afoot. Today, we're happy to share that dungeon screenshots and new characters have been added to the Iffy-cial website for the horror-inspired RPG, Death end re;Quest™ 2! Take a look into the mysterious town of Le Choara, a quaint town by day, but an eerie nightmare by night.

Death end re;Quest 2 launches for the PlayStation®4 on August 25 in North America and August 28 in Europe! The Steam® version will release worldwide on August 25.
The Steam version will contain the original Glitch costumes for the first game's characters and will have English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese subtitles. The first game's characters only appear in their Glitch costumes during battle and in the main menu. The Steam version will implement the original Glitch costumes in both instances.

After midnight, Le Choara turns into a nightmarish hellscape where monsters known as Shadow Matter lurk and attack any locals who dare to break the curfew set by the town.
Mai, Rottie, and Liliana each have Buggy Skills that aid in their party's journey through each dungeon. Mai is able able to hack into a PC to expose hidden paths, Rottie can use her buggy to reach higher places, and Liliana can destroy walls!
Abigail Williams
A kind, mellow young woman who serves as Wordsworth's resident advisor. At times she is giggly and scatter-brained, but she is a stern disciplinarian when necessary, well-adept at balancing friendship and authority with her residents.
Cera Putnam
A hard-working but shrewd student. She is best friends with Abigail, the resident advisor. Known for being stern and protective, she frequently admonishes Abigail for being too lenient on the other students, but the two are incredibly close.
Sarah Floyd
One of Wordsworth's younger residents who wears her heart on her sleeve. She is aware of her emotional tendencies but does her best to stop from crying in tough situations.
Anne Satie
A quiet, demure girl with a lot on her mind yet a lack of confidence to express it. At first, she intimidated Sarah because she never smiled, but over time she has softened. The two are now good friends.
Marie Pia
Wordsworth's youngest resident. She relies heavily on others' help—especially
Anne—since they share a peculiar resemblance. Marie's dependence is somewhat troubling for Anne.

Story
Mai Toyama seeks an escape from her traumatic past. She becomes enrolled at Wordsworth, an all-girl’s dormitory situated in the small, mountainous town known as Le Choara where it was rumoured that her sister, Sanae, was last seen. Hopeful, Mai seeks to find her kin, but she soon finds terrifying inhabitants which lurk throughout the town after dark. At night, Le Choara’s streets are filled with Shadow Matter—a horrific group of menacing creatures. Around every cobblestone corner, Mai discovers that her hope of finding her sister lies beneath the long-buried secrets which haunt Le Choara.
Key Features
Overkill Brings Huge Rewards – The Overkill system is an added feature where characters can stack damage beyond the health of an enemy for bonus experience! Try to inflict as much damage to all the monsters for bigger rewards.
Beware of the Berserker – During dungeon exploration and battle, a faceless, black figure will appear out of nowhere. The figure will also display an area of attack once it appears. Mai and her squad must step away from the Berserker’s area of attack, as it will instantly kill anyone with one single blow. Run away from the Berserker in the dungeon or defeat all the existing monsters in the battlefield to escape!
Day n’ Night – Mai will need to explore the town of Le Choara during the day and speak with the townspeople to find out clues as to where her sister is. By night, Mai will fight her way through dark creatures stylized in a turn-based RPG. Experience the story through the lens of a visual novel during the day and battle it out against horrific creatures by night!
Don’t Call it a Knockback – The Knockback system is back in
Death end re;Quest 2, but this time, Mai and her squad can smack Shadow Matter even harder! Combo your attacks by flinging monsters to other party members!
