Roseville, MN – March 16, 2021. After the recent announcement of Asmodee acquiring Plan B Games Inc., Asmodee USA announced today they will be distributing Plan B Games. The distribution catalog will include all of the company’s imprints.
Founded by Sophie Gravel in 2016, with 18 employees based in Canada and Germany, Plan B Inc. now encompasses several internationally renowned imprints, including Plan B, Next Move Games, Pretzel and Eggertspiele. The company publishes many titles that have won or been nominated for several of the industry’s most prestigious awards.
With over 2 million copies sold worldwide, Azul has received several awards, notably the Spiel des Jahres, Deutscher Spieler Preis and I’As d’Or. Its success can be attributed to the game’s accessibility, superb material and a particularly aesthetic design.
Among Plan B’s other multi-award-winning games are Camel Up, winner of the Spiel des Jahres, Century Spice Road, notably named Golden Geek Best Card Game Winner in 2017, and Great Western Trail, one of the 10 greatest games of all time according to industry-leader BoardGameGeek. Plan B recently announced Great Western Trail will receive a highly anticipated 2nd Edition in 2021 along with new titles in the series in 2022 and 2023.
